1978 Airstream Argosy 24 in amazing condition,
Rides down the highway like a Cadillac with plenty of power to climb the mountain passes or jump up to 80+ to make a pass.
Has been at the same address in covered parking since new.
First owner used it only to take hunting and only put 11k miles on it by 2015, when he passed away, I bought the home and saw the RV and asked to buy it as well. First owner owned a mechanic shop and kept it well maintained, since my time owning, Ive used the best oil, a two quart filter, and it has never gone more than 2k miles without an oil change. All 6 tires were replaced recently and are close to brand new.
All glass is perfect and weve never had any leaks. It sleeps five with removable triple bunk. Bunk is secured to the wall and has seen many driving miles with three crazy kids in the beds and kept rock solid.
Dash AC has been upgraded to modern system professionally. I removed the rooftop AC and have a third fan in the hole but the 110 wiring and hole are still set up if you wanted a fresh unit. We do not use the pressurized water system as there was a broken toilet line and I removed the 12v pump. A new pump and toilet would get it back to usable. We camp almost exclusively boondock style and in the shoulder seasons so prefer to just keep a water carrier at the sink and one in the shower basin to fill the toilet and not worry about winterizing and camping in freezing nights. All interior lights have been swapped to LED and with lights and furnace running for 4 days we still had 80% power left. Propane systems work perfect and it has 2 AGM batteries that are always kept on tenders at home. I use ethanol free gas when available and there is a tied in 4K Onan generator that only has 42 hours on it. Ive used it twice to run a power saw and it worked well. Lots of interior storage, under beds and 3 closets in bathroom and removable double drawers in shower along with lots of compartments throughout.
We love this rv (Steve) but now our children are all big teenagers that grumble too much about sharing the space. At 24 foot it is easy to navigate around tight areas and can almost fit in a regular parking spot.
No rush to sell as it has a covered home but it doesnt seem like well be doing much RVing so for sale it is.
Ive turtle waxed the entire thing a few times and it shines up real nice and always gets thumbs ups and visits from neighboring campers to check it out.
