RV Description
We will consider all offers.
The 2005 Winnebago Journey 36DL is a Class A motorhome that is sure to provide a comfortable and luxurious traveling experience. With 80,000 miles on the odometer, this RV has proven to be reliable and durable. The Winnebago brand is known for its quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, and the Journey model is no exception.
The 36DL trim level offers ample space for living, sleeping, and entertaining, making it ideal for long road trips or extended stays at campgrounds. The interior is well-appointed with high-end finishes and modern amenities, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The driver's cockpit is equipped with all the necessary controls and features for a smooth and stress-free driving experience.
This Winnebago Journey comes equipped with a powerful Caterpillar 350 engine that delivers plenty of horsepower and torque for tackling steep hills and challenging road conditions. The Freightliner chassis is sturdy and dependable, providing a stable and secure ride. With its spacious storage compartments, you'll have plenty of room for all your gear, equipment, and supplies.
We traveled for 3 years full time in this RV. It runs great, doesn't burn oil. Everything works the way it's supposed to unless I mentioned it. I have decided to downsize as my wife has gone back to work. We've done a lot of work on it that you won't have to do. If you prove to me that you can pay for it, I'll set you up in a local campground so you can test everything. It's a great boondocking camper. Most of the time I use 30 amps and it will run both compressors on the AC under 30. It has 1 6 " scratch on the exterior. I would also consider selling the jeep toad and a 400 watt solar suitcase that plugs into the batteries. It has 3 AGM coach batteries (4 yrs old) and 2 marine engine batteries (1 yr old). It's a good size rig that can get into most national forest campgrounds which is where I like to camp.
Things that don't work:
door awning
speedometer, I'll include a garmin for trip planning that provides accurate speed.
oil pressure gauge is sporadic but the computer display always says normal
airbag dump button. I have bypassed this with a manual air pressure dump valve in the cargo bay that will dump the airbags.
bedroom stereo. I believe it needs a fuse but have never wanted to use it.
Some sagging (shown in pics) of headliner. It has not increased in 3 years
keyfob sensor does not work, but cargo bay switch unlocks all bays with a click
walkie talkies do not charge
some of the black striping is losing its clearcoat
there was some water intrusion in the bathroom, replaced siding after fixing leak on roof
