RV Description

A 2018 Taxa Outdoors Mantis with a 2" lift and sleeps 6. 8 if you use the awning vestibule with cots. Lots of new stuff in 2023! The new Truma Combi Eco works great and the new 4,000 lb Dexter axle has electric brakes. Also a new water pump, and great tires. A Battle Born 100 amp hour lithium battery works splendidly and saves weight. Vintage Hannibal RT is mounted on a heavy-duty custom aluminum mount. The AC works great, and there is an extra cassette for the toilet and ARB awning zip-on-room in case you need even more space. Everything works well except one LED light.
When the latch came undone, the top was ripped off in a heavy headwind. I built a new custom roof and put my solar panels on it. Only one panel is hooked up; that is all I need for this setup. I was going to hook up the second panel for cloudier conditions eventually. The roof has larger overhangs than stock, second latch points, and has worked very well over 5,000 miles of travel. It doesn't look as smooth as stock though. If you do it yourself, a new stock roof could be installed for around $3K. I built mine how I wanted it for $750.00.
We are entering a family phase where our ability to use this trailer over the next 5 years will be limited due to time in hotels following sports and dance. Best for us to sell and find another trailer when our life allows us to maximize use again!
