• 2017 ROCKWOOD MINI LITE 2304

This is a 2017 Rockwood Mini-Lite 2304. The key feature of this Trailer is its size, weight, and it is very spacious without the need for a slideout. Its total length is 23.58 ft., width 8 ft. and a height of 10.25 ft.
The weight is only 4,052 lbs. empty, and once loaded, it still falls within towing range of most pickup trucks, even after it has been loaded. This is carried on a Dexter Torsion Bar Suspension which rides lower and has NO leaf springs for a smoother ride.
This floorplan allows you to have the same access to everything inside, when being towed and once set up. It is designed to sleep up to four (4) people, two (2) on the queen size Murphy Bed and then two (2) more once the dinette is placed in the bed position. Theres plenty of storage, some of which is accessible from both inside and outside of trailer.
NOTE: Rockwood made a similar model, 2304KS which offered a slideout; however, with this version you cannot access the bathroom and some of the cabinets when the slideout is in. It was for this reason I rejected this model. Also, the slideout only provided 6 inches more in width of floor space. Then theres also the possibility of a slideout failure. If you cant retract the slide-out, you cant travel.
Since the 2304 model was more difficult to locate, I drove to Shipshewana, Indiana, to a dealership located 10 miles from the Rockwood factory to pick up this trailer.
Here are some features:
MAIN CABIN
- All cabin lighting is LED. Some can be turned on and off as a group or individually.
- Queen size Murphy Bed, which folds down over the jackknife sofa and has storage below.
- Decorative Shelf with large mirror above sofa.
- Two (2) hanging wardrobes, one on each side of the bed.
- Dinette/Sleeper, has two (2) built-in pullout drawers. The table is portable and can also be used outside.
- Ducted AC (with insulation upgrade).
- Roof vent over bed, which is covered on the roof by a MaxxAir all-weather vent cover.
- Propane furnace wired into thermostat with AC.
- Three cupboards above dinette.
- Entertainment System w/remote (AM, FM, TV sound, DVD Player) has been upgraded to HDMI capability.
- Bed side shelves and drawers. One with AC outlets and cell phone charger.
- 32 inch smart TV w/remote on locking swivel mount, with sound bar, (upgraded from OEM 24-inch TV).
KITCHEN
- Many cupboards, drawers, and very large pantry.
- Countertop has a dual LED light (upgrade) over sink.
- Three burner propane stove and oven.
- Range hood with fan, light and filter. Exhausts to outside with locking travel door.
- Microwave Oven, with rotating table.
- Dual energy (115v/Propane), 2 door refrigerator/freezer (6 cu.ft.).
- Large kitchen sink with split countertop covers.
- Paper Towel holder.
- Outside wall mounted grill supplied by the main propane tanks from connection hose in wall (see picture).
BATHROOM
Two (2) large linen closets in bathroom.
- Bathroom sink with large medicine cabinet.
- Under sink cupboard.
- Foot flush toilet.
- Large quarter-round shower with two sliding doors and skylight.
- Roof vent with MaxxAir 4 speed fan, covered by a MaxxAir all-weather vent cover.
EXTERIOR
- Four (4) external storage bays.
- House Battery (12 VDC).
- Frameless Windows
- Six (6) gal. Dual power (115v/Propane) Water Heater.
- Roof like new, and still under warranty until 2029.
- Roof Access Ladder.
- Electric Tongue Jack.
- Two, 30 lb. Propane bottles with capacity gauges. Has plastic protective cover with access door.
- 15 ft. Power Awning.
EXTRAS
- 3500 Predator Inverter - Only 58 dB, very quiet, and has less than 15 hours.
- Added drag wheels to the rear skids. If for some reason when going through a dip and the rear of the trailer contacts the road surface, these wheels will easily roll and help to protect the trailer from damage.
- Wheel Chocks and Wheel Stops. The "wheel stops" are placed between the tandem wheels and once tightened lock the wheels from turning (see picture).
- Equipped with a rear-view wireless camera, with a monitor that mounts in your tow vehicle. You can see from the bumper of the trailer out for backing up and view the traffic behind you when you are traveling down the road. It is powered on when the running lights are turned on and the monitor is plugged in to 12 VDC inside your vehicle.
- This comes with a Husky Center Line TS hitch designed to be connected into a 2-inch receiver on your tow vehicle. This is one of the best hitches on the market and offers excellent weight distribution and sway control in one easy to use unit. When not being used, it easy to remove and store inside one of the RVs external storage bays. Compared to a previous brand I found this one to be easy to hookup, quieter, and offers good trailer stability even in strong crosswinds.
