2012 Fleetwood Bounder Classic
Exterior Condition:
I observed that this unique RV appeared well-maintained. The wheels and tires were in good shape. The graphics looked good, with only minor scratches visible, consistent with the mileage. Most scratches were too small to capture in photos. The graphics were in good condition, except for a few minor scratches. There was light touch-up overspray on the front of the RV below and above the windshield, which was difficult to notice unless closely inspected. The underside showed surface rust. The headlights were slightly foggy and could benefit from refinishing. Some finish was peeling from the mirror. The windshield had a crack in front of the drivers station, which the owner stated would be replaced. All slides operated smoothly, as shown in the videos. I was unable to fully assess the roof condition due to dirt at the time of inspection. Further assessment is necessary to evaluate the seals. Minor surface rust was present on some roof components, as shown in picture 13. The door paint had imperfections, as seen in picture 28. The paint showed general wear and tear.
Interior Condition:
The interior was recently professionally painted and upfitted at a substantial cost, although it still showed common wear and tear from use. The seats displayed light wear, consistent with the mileage. The dash showed wear consistent with the vehicle's age. The floors were solid and visually appealing. I found no signs of water damage or mold. The walls were freshly repainted. There was a scrape and minor damage on the sliding door in the aft cabin, as shown in picture 165. The A/C and heat worked efficiently, with the unit capable of reaching very low temperatures. All electronics were in good working order. The gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, and water systems operated properly. The water heated quickly from all faucets.
Mechanical Condition and Test Drive:
The RV had a Ford gas-powered V10 engine. It started quietly and ran smoothly, providing ample power for uphill acceleration. The fluids were well-maintained, and the vehicle performed all mechanical functions as expected. The transmission shifted smoothly through all gears, even at highway speeds. An OBD scan revealed no fault codes. The battery terminals were corroded. A batter service is recommended to clean the terminals. The engine showed oil seepage from the underside, as shown in picture 40. No drips were present at the time of inspection. This area should be cleaned and rechecked to verify the source of the leak or identify any additional seepage.
