RV Description
This 2020 Keystone Springdale (model #: 222RDWE) offers an open and spacious layout along with plenty of storage without feeling too big and cumbersome for a single person, couple, or small family with or without pets.
We more than comfortably fit as a couple, one over 6 feet tall, and a large dog.
This travel trailer reaches 26 feet in total with a dry weight of approximately 4,900 pounds, making it easily towable for most trucks. There is NO slide out.
Two propane tanks and two batteries will surely supply your needs on your outings. Runs 30 amp for power.
The propane regulator was recalled at some point and we got it taken care of with a certified dealer. All such paperwork will be included.
The heating and AC work well along with all other appliances and major functions including the fridge, microwave, stove, oven, radio system, and power jack for easy set up.
The retractable awning is really nice for shade and we cut reflective material to fit the windows, easily applied and removed by Velcro to help keep cool on hot summer days.
The bathroom is snug as you'll find with most travel trailers but workable even for taller people.
The original mattress had been replaced with a comfy, full-sized mattress by the original owner who also removed the dinette for a more open and spacious layout.
The tabletop and cushions are still around if you wish to add the dinette back in. The couch flattens to provide another sleeping area and another small mattress, sleeping bag or cot could fit where the dinette would go.
Other notable wear and tear includes the pull cords on two windows needing replaced, a small, overhead cupboard door missing, a small chink in the laminate floor, and retouch of caulking on some outside areas periodically.
Otherwise all looks and feels close to new as it has seen light use over its life. Completely smoke free.
We (the second owners) purchased this trailer from the original owner who bought new in Missoula.
Being our first travel trailer, we took it out for weekends here and there, learning all the ins and outs of setting up and using a travel trailer and slowly began using more and more things with each trip.
(5,000 is a high mileage estimate as this travel trailer has not left Montana or been extensively used).
The original owners were said to have never put water in it so when mid-Summer hit, we timidly put water in and were able to use the toilet, sinks, and fill and empty the drain tanks with no issues. There is an easy access sprayer/shower on the outside of the camper. The fresh water tank has a 60 gallon holding capacity and the grey and black water tanks have 40 gallons capacities each.
We tried the shower on our last outing, as most camping spots had these facilities, only to discover a water leak underneath.
We promptly got it into Fleet Truck and RV Repair in Great Falls who determined the P-trap was faulty likely from the manufacturer, got it repaired and tested all the lines, removed all the underbelly lining, mitigated any potential mold, and completely replaced and upgraded the underbelly with higher-tier lining that now covers the tanks that were previously exposed.
This was all done through insurance (paperwork and contact with the repair company available).
We thought we would use the trailer more and felt it provided more than adequate space, wonderful views and natural lighting, and comfort. The repair shop was equally comforting, knowledgeable, and beyond helpful working with us and insurance, keeping us involved throughout the repair and but this event unfortunately soured the experience for us and the camper has become an expense we can't justify between storage, maintainence/winterization, and insurance for maybe a couple weekends a year.
We will be happy to send all necessary leveling/set up equipment and accessories you would need for a comfortable outing with the travel trailer including basic toiletries (RV safe toilet paper), tank treatment, hose with pressure gauge, sewer hose and supports, surge protector and power adapter to connect from 50 amp sources (the trailer runs 30 amp), leveling system, durable tire stops, and generator originally bought with the camper but never used (may need maintenanced to start due to sitting). Willing to throw in the equalizer hitch bought separately for the right buyer as well.
Please reach out for further inquiries, specifications page, more photos, or to get a closer look at the trailer.
