1964 Airstream Bambi II – Restored Vintage Classic

This beautifully restored 1964 Airstream Bambi II is a rare and iconic vintage trailer, offering timeless design with smart modern upgrades. Exterior Condition

The exterior is in excellent shape, with only two aluminum panels replaced near the water heater. All windows, seals, and operators have been replaced with brand new components. The entrance door, hatch covers, and locks are all in great condition, fully functional and lockable. The A-frame and rear bumper are structurally sound with no rust, and the undercarriage has been updated with a brand new aluminum belly pan and subfloor. A new manual awning adds charm and outdoor living space.

Interior Layout and Features

Inside, you'll find a warm and inviting space that has been tastefully updated. The front dinette converts to a bed, while the couch also folds down for sleeping, accommodating two people comfortably. All cushions, upholstery, blinds, and curtains are new. The original interior walls have been repainted, and cabinets have been repaired or replaced where needed. Brand new luxury plank vinyl flooring runs throughout, and new countertops add a modern touch.

Kitchen and Bathroom

The kitchen has been updated for convenience and efficiency. The original stove and refrigerator have been replaced with a new convection oven and electric refrigerator. The sink and taps are also new, and everything is in proper working condition. The rear wet bath includes a new toilet and shower in the original configuration. A new 32-gallon freshwater tank, new plumbing, and working black tank round out the plumbing system. This model year does not include a gray tank.

Systems and Mechanical

Mechanically, this Bambi is road-ready. It features a new Dexter axle, new brakes, bearings, and retro-style 14-inch whitewall tires. A 2-inch hitch, safety chains, and emergency breakaway cable are in place and operational. All lighting and trailer wiring are new and fully functional. The electrical system has been upgraded to 30 Amp service, with a single connection point. The unit is powered by a new deep cycle Interstate battery, and the original rooftop air conditioner is still in working condition. Heating has been upgraded with a modern electric space heater.
