• 2020 PHAETON 40 IH

This 2020 Tiffin Phaeton 40 IH was built in December 2019 as a custom order. We have only used it for recreation and it has never been lived in full-time. It has been kept indoors since it was new and now has only 18,620 miles. My wife and I have decided to sell this motorhome because weve reached the age (80/72) that we arent able to spend the time enjoying it that it deserves. Ive just looked at all the adds on RV Trader for similar motorhomes and all those adds look the same. They all have text that seems to come from a motorhome brochure or some demeaning language written by a dealer. Accompanied by pictures of the coach freshly detailed from the best possible angles. Does that presentation make you wonder how it was cared for during its previous use and storage? Debbie and I decided to do our best to describe and represent our coach in its normal condition and explain how we have used and cared for it as honestly as possible and show in pictures how it looks everyday that weve owned it. After you have seen it and reviewed all our records and decided to purchase we will have it cleaned and spit shined by the best detailer. We decided thats how we would like to make such a significant lifestyle purchase! So, here we go, hopefully you will appreciate honesty and integrity.
This coach like all motorhomes leaves the factory with many defects, most small and some more serious. Ours although built by one of the best companies in the business during the time just before Covid also came with a few items that required expert attention. I spent a significant portion of my early life as a Naval Aviator during that service I learned the definition of expert maintenance and repair. This Tiffin is our 6th motorhome. Those 5 previous experiences with the rv industry expanded my knowledge and experience. As a result of this rving adventure I was well prepared to recognize many of the inherent problems that materialize after our first joyous journey. We have been to the factory repair facility in RedBay, AL 3 times since our delivery. Each of those visits was done in concert with a scheduled annual bumper to bumper service from Red Bay Diesel.
This all electric coach has every option offered by Tiffin at the time it was built. Those options include, heated floors, fireplace, washer/dryer, dish washer, in-dash navigation, king bed, and self-leveling automatic jacks. It also has 2 satellite dishes, one in-motion and the other a Winegard auto seeking. To the best of my knowledge everything works!
