I've been building Sprinter Vans since 2016. This is my 10th van and is a 2024 AWD 144 high roof 2500. My design has evolved from traveling the deserts, beaches and mountains of the western US and Canada in my own 2016 Sprinter. I've built a self-contained camper van with solar powered battery system, diesel fired heat (using the vehicles diesel and makes hot water for the shower and kitchen sink while also creating interior heat).Bench seat in the kitchen and both front seats swivel with a Laguna table that swings around. Refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner propane sink/stove combo with glass lids in kitchen. A flushable cassette toilet hides away in the cabinets. Cherrywood cabinets throughout with mahogany trim and reclaimed redwood ceiling from Napa wine tanks. I built houses for 30 years and have graduated to building mini houses on wheels. Van includes 5" memory foam trim-fold mattress, mosquito net for sliding door, carpet, rubber floor mats in garage that pull out for showers off the back, Fiamma 10'6" awning outside and designed easy access to all components for maintenance and repairs. This is my best van yet and perfect "escape pod" ready to go to find that special campsite away from the crowded campgrounds, generators, and loud music.... yet capable of plugging in to shore power at grandma's house.
