Not many within multistate region, this 2021 Northwood Mfg Nash 17K is set up for four-season fun, off-road and off-grid. It has tank heaters for black, grey and fresh water. The solar has been upgraded to 600Ws that feed dual-200amh LiPO4 batteries in a custom box mounted on the tongue, right behind dual propane tanks.

With high clearance, a dual-axle, and all aluminum frame, it navigates rough terrain smoothly for getting out of those campgrounds into BLM or USFS land. One of the smaller rigs in the Nash line-up, it is compact and lightweight, with a GVWR of ~5,500lbs. Fully loaded for me, it's under 4,500lbs and I comfortably pull it with my Chevy Colorado and an Anderson no-sway, weight-distributing hitch that goes with the trailer.

Inside, the Nash offers a cozy and functional living space. The interior is ideally suited for a couple (and a dog) but can support those times you want to bring kids, or grandkids, on the adventure. It has a full-sized queen bed with plenty of shelving, storage and charging ports within reach, and storage under the bed for gear and extra blankets.

The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials, including a stove (big enough to fit a turkey), refrigerator (AC, DC and propane), microwave and sink. Outside there is built-in propane for the included portable grill. The dinette area provides a comfortable spot to enjoy meals or relax and has been upgraded with a 1000W inverter in case you need to charge a laptop and work while you are off-grid. The giant full-wall windows on the back provide unmatched views and there is A/C for when you have a hook-up. Drop the table and it makes into another sleeping area for the kids.

The bathroom features a dry shower, toilet, and sink, with plenty of storage. Another shower outside allows for rinsing off or showering depending on where you are. The Nash 17K has rugged off-road tires, a roof rack, and exterior storage compartments. One cabinet is pre-wired for a generator, if you want to add one, while the front storage has been upgraded with a ¾ pull-out for easy access and to optimize use of the space.

This camper is ready to roll. The kitchen is outfitted with pots, pans and utensils, and the bedroom has linens. Just stock up on food and fill the generous 45g fresh water tank.
