General Information on Lake Merwin Campers Hideaway
Less than 50 miles north of Portland and about 100 miles south of Seattle, it offers one of the very few private opportunities to get out into the beautiful Pacific Northwest's forests, wildlife, and lakes.
Membership in the Hideaway is desired by many, and the 1500 dedicated memberships give it the financial base to be successful and provide services to each and every campsite. It is a private gated card entrance community with 24 hour security. It is affordable to those who love the escape to a "Hideaway" which provides amenities for members to share

Because of the location on the 13-mile long Lake Merwin, boating, fishing and swimming are immensely popular. The Hideaway has both long term lease and short term boat moorage where members may rent slips. Because there is very limited public access to the lake, you enjoy a relaxed experience when on the water. Hiking along the miles and miles of roadways (even jogging by some) sometimes interrupts the deer and other wildlife, but you only are communing with them. There's nothing quite as wonderful as watching the fawning season in June.
