RV Description

2022 Coachmen Galleria 24Q with 4x4 and factory Lithium batteries.  Built on the highly reliable Mercedes Sprinter long wheelbase (170”) platform with 3.0L Diesel, overall vehicle length 24’.  This was our first RV and we’ve enjoyed two years of epic National Park trips and long weekends away, but ultimately decided to sell and focus more on international travel overseas.

Vehicle has no accidents, clean title (in hand), no liens, winterized and ready for immediate sale. Can be test driven any time and I can connect with you for a video tour if interested. Located in Lake Orion, MI (north of Detroit).

We looked exhaustively at the Class B RV market before settling on the Coachmen Galleria.  The Class B market is overloaded with brands and models built on Mercedes, Ford, and RAM platforms.  As owners of two Mercedes passenger vehicles we know and like their technology and engineering.  There are fancier and much more expensive Class Bs based on the Mercedes Sprinter platform from brands like Airstream, Grech, Midwest Automotive Designs, American Coach, and likely others.  We investigated many of these, drove a few of them, and ultimately settled on the Mercedes-based Coachmen Galleria as the best package of content, amenities, and value.  As an Engineer in the automotive industry, I appreciate the details that Coachmen chose for this vehicle and recognize both the value and durability.  (Basically, if you need quilted leather and rosewood cabinets buy a Grech or Airstream.  If you want value, look at the Galleria.)

Our Galleria has every notable factory option with the exception of the $10K VB air suspension option which you will not find on too many Gallerias.  Of particular note is the inclusion of the full suite of Mercedes Sprinter advanced safety features such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Auto Braking, Stability Control with Wind Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.  In a vehicle this large, these safety features are very important for your driving safety and peace of mind.

The interior controls, dash, and stereo controls on the 2022 Coachmen are Mercedes latest and greatest and they are fantastic and easy to use.  It’s called the MBUX system and you can look it up to see the details.  Touch screens, Apple CarPlay, etc…all very current and modern, intuitive, easy to use.

The 24Q layout was our clear favorite vs. other Galleria layouts. The main reason is quad captains chairs plus seating for 3 more on the rear bench.7 total seatbelts. This is great for tailgating and roadtrips. The rearward visibility is better on the 24Q than the 24T because there are low cabinets on the drivers side, allowing much better rear visibility than the "tunnel effect" on the 24T (high cabinets on both sides). Little things like this may not seem obvious until you drive it.

The rear bench converts into what is basically a larger than queen and slightly smaller than king bed. The 6" memory foam bench padding is remarkably comfortable for several days of camping in a row.

Drivability of this platform is great, plenty of power, etc.

Our Galleria has been professionally UPGRADED with the following list of key features:

  • Satellite TV:  King OnePro roof mounted satellite antenna (bubble on rear roof of vehicle)
  • WIFI Booster:  WINEGARD Connect 2.0 (pulls in camp site wifi signals from longer distance)
  • Stereo Speaker/Subwoofer:  Installed by a local 30 year professional auto stereo dealer, we upgraded the front door speakers and installed sound deadening in the front doors and installed a small (adjustable) subwoofer under the passenger seat.  This $1100 upgrade was WELL worth the money since the original stereo sound was ok for an Amazon van but the upgraded sound is actually pretty darned good!
  • Thule 2-bike rack mounted on rear door (this is one of two brands built for Sprinter and by far the best option, and does not require drilling into the rear door).  75# combined weight limit for two bikes.
  • Storage shelf over the front driver and passenger seats:  This is completely wasted space without the shelf, with the shelf it provides a huge amount of extra storage.
  • Insulated, magnetic attached window shades for windshield and front door windows (much better than the flimsy OEM shades provided by Coachmen)
  • Front door windows were tinted at 35% to match the factory tint of all rear windows…helps with heat reflection.
  • In addition, we have several other accessories that we can throw in to close the deal and those items can be discussed as necessary.

  • The list of Coachmen Galleria stock features is exhaustive and includes the following:

  • Quad Captains chairs plus rear bench (7 total seatbelts) – great for tailgating and roadtrips
  • Driver/Passenger seats rotate 180 degrees to face backwards and access removable table between 4 seats
  • Front table and rear tables
  • Convertible rear bench/bed that forms a very comfortable Queen+ (nearly King size) bed
  • Factory Lithium batteries (600aH) – Highly valuable for much longer battery life than standard batteries
  • Factory 330W solar panels covering roof
  • Xantrex 3000W inverter
  • Armless power awning on passenger side
  • Truma Combi hot water heater/air heater – easy to use and efficient
  • Upgraded A/C unit on roof
  • Aluminum wheels, Sumo springs suspension, factory 2” trailer hitch with wiring
  • LP gas dual burner cooktop
  • Rear passenger compartment stereo with 4 speakers
  • Two smart TVs (24" in rear, 22" in front), cable/satellite ready
  • External shower/hose connections, LP gas tank, full size spare tire
  • Custom wood cabinets with abundant storage space
  • Polar guard heating system for water, black, gray tanks for cold weather.
  • Many other features all viewable in vehicle brochure which I can provide to you or you can find via Google instruction below.

  • Google "2022 Coachmen Galleria Brochure" for link to all features. As with any type of RV, there is all sorts of aftermarket stuff you can add like permanent rear cameras, a second set of Lithium batteries, etc, etc. We've driven this thousands of miles over the past two years and have never found any need for any of these excess toys. The vehicle comes from the factory well equipped, we've added a few things listed above to handle our bikes, and a bit more storage, etc.

One of the great things about diesel engines is durability.  This vehicle will last a very long time, drives great, and has really been everything we expected from a smaller RV.  The mileage is low, maintenance has been kept up very well (oil, filters, wheel balance, alignment, tires, etc).  We hope you get many great years out of it.
